I traced a fault on one of the boards I was testing today without supervisory input. It was a simple problem (a pin on one of the chips hadn’t been soldered properly), but it wasn’t visible to the naked eye. It’s not much, but it was a little confidence booster for me.

I think the good thing about this job is that it I’m in an environment now that keeps me thinking about electrical principles, and it’s starting to get my brain back into gear. In fact, I’m getting an idea about a guitar pedal that may or may not actually be useful, but I reckon I could build it, once I’ve worked out how to achieve it.
